How to Make Team Sport Athletes Faster using Ethiopian Running Skills
⚽🏃🏻♀️➡️🏑🏉➕ I have turned some of the most uncoordinated athletes into coordinated, skilful movers, with sharp technical skills.
👩🏻💻 Full PDF training programmes will be on my blog, with everything you need to deliver to athletes. I use these moves in warm ups and as standalone sessions. (Standalone)- anything from 10mins upwards. The background to these drills or skills are that these are from the Ethiopian Army.
🏃♂️ These have been used forever within Ethiopian Athletics, and are a method of getting there athletes extremely fast, fit and strong. I.e. they sprint for all endurance events.
🧠 Super for injury reduction, conditioning muscles, muscle endurance, and ground reactivity for running and sprinting speeds. As you will see lots of these are plyo's.
⚒️ I'll give a more detailed explanation on my blog on what these exercises do and applications on field. I.e. Ab crunches are to teach bracing skills, and for abs of steel. You brace the mid section as elbows drive down.
💯 Have a go! Coaches practice first on your own and then demonstrate to athletes. Like anything worthwhile it takes time and practice.
💡 Once proficient these are executed with intensity. 💯 All In, and it's a workout. You need to be able to focus, concentrate and hold the positions, in time. This is great for building team coordination, togetherness and feel.
